Day
7
Gili T
Snorkelling the Gilis
Grab your snorkel because today's all about exploring the waters around the Gili Islands. We'll hop between islands, discovering colourful coral reefs, tropical fish and some of the area's best snorkelling spots. Our first stop is Gili Meno's Bounty Reef Garden, where the clear water and thriving marine life make it one of the best places to explore beneath the surface. We'll then head over to Gili Air for some free time to relax on the beach and wander through the island's laid-back streets. Our final stop takes us back towards Gili T, where we'll jump into the water in search of of the island's most famous residents, the sea turtles. With a bit of luck, you'll spot one swimming through the water before we make our way back to the island.

Gili T
Gili T, Your Way
After a few adventure-filled days, today is yours to spend however you fancy. There are no set plans, no early starts and nowhere you need to be, so make the most of your time on Gili T. Stretch out on the beach with a good book, snorkel straight from the shore, cycle around the island or book a scuba diving session if you're keen to explore even more of the underwater world. If taking things slowly is more your style, wander between cafés, browse the local shops or settle into a beachfront bar with something cold to drink and watch island life drift by. Need a few ideas? Your group leader will be more than happy to point you towards their favourite spots. However you choose to spend the day, Gili T is the perfect place to unwind, switch off and enjoy every minute.

Uluwatu
The Uluwatu Coast
Our island-hopping adventure continues as we leave Gili T behind and catch a fast boat back to Bali. From the harbour, it's a scenic drive south to Uluwatu, where limestone cliffs meet the Indian Ocean and surfers line up for some of Bali's most famous waves. After checking in, you've got the rest of the day to settle in however you like. Cool off in the hotel’s pool, head to a nearby beach, find a great spot for dinner before exploring more of Uluwatu tomorrow…

Uluwatu
The Uluwatu Experience
Uluwatu is famous for its iconic coastline, and today you'll get to experience some of its biggest highlights. We'll start at Jagged Rock, where huge limestone cliffs stretch out over the Indian Ocean. It's one of Uluwatu's most recognisable viewpoints, and the kind of place that makes you stop and really take it all in. Next, we'll visit the iconic Uluwatu Temple, perched right on the edge of the cliffs high above the ocean.  As evening rolls around, we'll grab our seats for the famous Kecak Fire Dance. With a chorus of performers chanting in unison, traditional storytelling and flames lighting up the stage, it's unlike anything else you'll experience in Bali and a brilliant way to round off the day.

Weather

No matter when you visit, Bali shines all year round. Expect warm temperatures, tropical scenery and plenty of sunshine. From April to October, the dry season brings temperatures of 27–32°C, along with blue skies, calm seas and ideal conditions for beach days, island hopping, snorkelling and Bali's famous surf breaks. Visiting between November and March? You'll still enjoy warm temperatures of 26–31°C, with the occasional tropical downpour keeping the island lush and green. The rain usually passes quickly, leaving plenty of time to get back out exploring, while quieter beaches and fewer crowds let you experience a more relaxed side of Bali.

Getting There

Starts

Your Bali Experience begins at Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS). We recommend booking a flight that lands between 9:00am and 5:00pm on Day 1, where your local guide will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a FurtherTravel sign (you won't miss them!). If possible, we'd recommend arriving earlier in the day to give yourself time to settle into the hotel before the evening orientation and your first night with the group. Please note that Bali's traffic can be unpredictable, so we don't recommend arriving too late. If your flight arrives outside of the recommended pickup window, you'll need to make your own way to the hotel. Don't worry though – your local guide will be on hand in the group chat to help you arrange this. Arriving a day early? Let us know! We'd be happy to recommend somewhere to stay near the airport. You can then either return to the airport during the pickup window or meet the group at the hotel.

Ends

Your Bali Island Hopper finishes at your hotel in Seminyak on Day 20. We recommend booking a flight that departs after 12:00pm on your final day, giving you plenty of time to check out and make your own way to Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) after your final night celebrating with the group. If you're continuing your travels, Bali is also a great place to extend your adventure, so feel free to ask us for recommendations before you go!

FAQ's
Solo? Couple? Friends?
Most of our travellers are solo, so joining a group tour is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends along the way. Travelling alone gives you flexibility, the chance to connect with others, and the freedom to follow your own adventure. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, just let us know when you book. We’ll make sure you’re paired together in the same room so you can enjoy the trip side by side.
Accommodation
On your trip, you’ll stay in comfortable twin-share hotel rooms, paired with another traveller from your tour. Forget hostels, our hand-picked hotels offer privacy, comfort, and a touch of luxury, with air conditioning or fans, reliable WiFi, and many featuring pools, gyms, or chill-out spaces. It’s the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring, making new friends, and living your adventure to the fullest.
Free Time
While our programmes are full of unforgettable experiences, there’s still plenty of time built in to relax, explore, or do your own thing. Whether you want to lounge on a beach, wander through local markets, try out a new cafe, or just take a quiet afternoon for yourself, the choice is yours. Your guides are always happy to share insider tips and recommend hidden gems, so you can make the most of every free moment. Free time is your chance to explore at your own pace, discover local culture, and create memories that are completely your own.
Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up. If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly. All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed. Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Pre and Post Tour
If you’re arriving early or staying on after your programme, we can help make the most of your extra time. Extra nights of accommodation before the tour starts can be booked easily through us, just get in touch with our team. Planning to continue your adventure once your trip ends? Our travel experts can offer advice on the best destinations, routes, and experiences to extend your journey, so you can explore confidently and make the most of your time abroad.
Flights
Flights are not included in the trip price and will need to be booked separately. We recommend securing your place on the trip before booking flights, as availability and dates can sometimes change and flight prices can fluctuate. Once your place is confirmed, our team is happy to help with advice on the best airports to fly into, typical routes, and timings to ensure your arrival runs smoothly.
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. A sturdy backpack or suitcase works fine, and you’ll have opportunities to do laundry along the way. Don’t forget essentials like chargers, travel documents, and a good pair of walking shoes for exploring
Money
The local currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). ATMs are widely available in towns and tourist areas, and most shops, restaurants, and hotels accept cards, though smaller markets and rural areas often prefer cash. It’s a good idea to carry a mix of cash and cards to cover meals, drinks, souvenirs, and optional activities. For convenience and to avoid high foreign exchange fees, many travellers use a travel card such as Wise or Revolut. This allows you to pay in local currency with minimal charges, and you can also withdraw cash from ATMs if needed.
Best Time to Travel
Bali enjoys warm tropical weather all year round, making it a great destination no matter when you visit. The dry season runs from April to September, offering plenty of sunshine, while the wet season from October to March brings short, refreshing tropical showers that rarely last all day. Even during the wet season, you can expect warm temperatures and plenty of opportunities to explore beaches, rice terraces, and temples. No matter when you travel, our tours are designed to make the most of the local weather, so you’ll always enjoy a mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
Visa & Vaccinations
Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some destinations allow certain nationals to enter visa-free for a limited period, while others may require a visa on arrival or in advance. It is your responsibility to check the latest visa and entry requirements before travelling. You can do this via the relevant embassy or consulate website, or reach out to our team for guidance. We also recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for advice on vaccinations and other health precautions for the country you are visiting. Make sure to arrange any required vaccinations well in advance to ensure a smooth start to your trip.
Can anyone climb Mount Batur?
Absolutely! Mount Batur is suitable for anyone with a moderate fitness level. The sunrise trek takes around 2–3 hours, offering breathtaking views at the summit. It’s mildly challenging but completely worth it and our experienced local guide will be there to support you every step of the way.
Food
Bali’s food scene is amazing! Expect a delicious mix of authentic Indonesian dishes, local Balinese specialties, and international favorites. Try classics like: Nasi Goreng: Indonesian fried rice topped with a fried egg Mie Goreng: fried noodles packed with flavor Bali offers an amazing mix of traditional Indonesian cuisine and international options, so you’ll have plenty to try during your trip. Expect local favourites such as Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Mie Goreng (fried noodles), and fresh tropical fruits. Many meals are included on your itinerary, but there will also be opportunities to explore local cafés, warungs, and restaurants on your own. Vegetarian, vegan, and milder options are widely available, so dietary preferences are easy to cater for. For a full guide to which meals are included on your tour, check the day-by-day itinerary on your tour page.
Group Leaders
Who are the group leaders? Your group leader is your go-to guide, mentor, and ultimate problem-solver while on tour. They know everything from hidden local spots to the best places to eat, and are there to make sure your trip runs smoothly. Think of them as your travel BFF who’s got your back 24/7. How big are the groups? Groups are kept small and social, usually between 12 and 22 travellers, so it’s easy to bond and make friends for life. You’ll meet people from all over the world, all sharing the same love of adventure and discovery. Can I get in touch with my group or leader before the trip? Yes! Around two weeks before your tour, your group leader will be added to your group WhatsApp. You’ll also be able to connect with your fellow travellers in our private destination-specific community so you can start sharing tips, hype, and travel excitement before you even arrive.
