FAQ's

Take a look at our most frequently asked questions.

Is there a dress code?
There’s no strict dress code, but when visiting temples or cultural sites, modest clothing is required - that means covering shoulders and knees. We suggest packing a lightweight long skirt or trousers and a scarf or shawl for temple visits. Otherwise, dress comfortably and check the weather before you go.
What is the food like?
Bali’s food scene is amazing! Expect a delicious mix of authentic Indonesian dishes, local Balinese specialties, and international favorites. Try classics like: Nasi Goreng: Indonesian fried rice topped with a fried egg Mie Goreng: fried noodles packed with flavor There are also plenty of Western options and familiar fast-food spots, so there’s something for everyone.
Will I see turtles?
There’s a very good chance you’ll spot turtles in the wild, especially around Gili Trawangan. While wildlife sightings can’t be guaranteed, you’ll definitely see turtles up close during our visit to a local turtle sanctuary, an unforgettable experience!
Can anyone climb Mount Batur?
Absolutely! Mount Batur is suitable for anyone with a moderate fitness level. The sunrise trek takes around 2–3 hours, offering breathtaking views at the summit. It’s mildly challenging but completely worth it and our experienced local guide will be there to support you every step of the way.
What does the volunteering involve?
You’ll spend time volunteering at a turtle sanctuary and teaching English at a local school in Ubud, a rewarding way to give back and connect with the local community.
