Day
1
Canggu
Bali Touchdown & Welcome Feast
Welcome to the Island of the Gods! Step off the plane, breathe in that warm tropical air, and get whisked away to Canggu – Bali’s buzzing beach town that’s part surfer’s paradise, part smoothie-bowl heaven. After you’ve checked in and shaken off the travel haze, you’ve got a bit of time to chill. Maybe wander to the beach, grab an iced coffee, or just lounge by the pool. Tonight, we kick things off properly – a group dinner with your new travel fam. Expect great food, big laughs, and the first of many “is this real life?” moments. Dinner included.

Surf’s Up in Canggu
Rise and shine – today’s all about riding waves and channeling your inner surf legend. We’ll start with a quick beach briefing (yes, you will look cool holding a surfboard for pics) before heading into the water with our awesome instructors. Whether it’s your first time or you’re basically a pro, you’re gonna have a blast. The afternoon is all yours, kick back at a beach club, explore Canggu’s trendy streets, or hunt down the best smoothie bowl in Bali (spoiler: there are a lot of contenders).

Kintamani
Rice Terraces, Jungle Pools & Coffee Fixes
Today we’re heading for the hills, but not before soaking in one of Bali’s most iconic sights: Tegallalang Rice Terrace. These emerald-green layers are basically nature’s version of an infinity pool, and they’re made for those “wish you were here” shots. Next up? A stop at Cretya Pool Bar – think tiered infinity pools overlooking jungle and rice fields. Swim, sip, and live your tropical fantasy. Before reaching our home for the night in Kintamani, we’ll pop into a local coffee plantation for fresh brews and a crash course in Bali’s coffee culture. Cool mountain air, volcanic views, and a slower pace await.

Mount Batur Sunrise Trek
It’s an early start, but trust us, worth every sleepy yawn. We’re trekking up Mount Batur under a starlit sky, and as the sun peeks over the horizon, you’ll be treated to glowing views over Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains. We’ll have a light breakfast cooked using volcanic steam (yes, really) before heading down. Later, we make our way to Ubud – the artsy, spiritual heart of Bali, to relax after our adventure.

Monkey Mischief & Waterfall Wandering
First stop: Ubud Monkey Forest, home to hundreds of cheeky macaques. Wander temple ruins, snap photos, and maybe make a new furry friend (just watch your sunglasses). Then it’s time for some waterfall chasing, either Kanto Lampo, with its cascading rock formations, or the dreamy Tibumana, surrounded by lush jungle. Bring your swimsuit if you fancy a dip!

Weather

Bali’s got that endless summer feel all year round. From April to October, it’s dry season, think blue skies, epic sunsets, and perfect beach vibes with temps around 27–32°C. It’s the ideal time to hit the waves, chase waterfalls, and explore rice terraces. November to March brings the wet season, but don’t stress, it’s mostly short tropical downpours that freshen things up and keep the island green. It’s still warm (26–31°C), way less crowded, and a vibe if you’re into laid-back travel and lush jungle adventures. Rain or shine, Bali’s always a good idea.

Getting There

Starts

Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) We recommend arriving between 9am – 5pm on day 1 so you can meet your local guide in the arrivals hall. They will be holding a sign (You can’t miss them!). If you can, we think arriving earlier rather than later is better to allow for some down time at the hotel before the orientation and evening activities. If you do not arrive in the selected window, you will be responsible for making your own way to the accommodation. Your local guide will be able to advise on this in the group chat. The evening orientation is usually around 7/8pm so we recommend you don’t land too late. The journey from the airport can take a while in Bali’s traffic! If you are planning to arrive a day earlier and want to stay near the airport in a hotel at your own cost just let us know and you can come back to the airport for the pickup window or meet us at the hotel.

Ends

Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) On the last day of Camp we recommend a flight after midday, we have a final night out in Bali on the last day so give yourself time to recover and make sure you have time for any onward travel arrangements.

FAQ's
What accommodation will I be staying in?
Since each of our tours visits different places, the accommodation you will be staying in will vary. The accommodation section above will cover more detail, but all the partners we use have been hand selected by our expert tour planners, using their extensive knowledge of the areas to ensure the quality of your stay will be fantastic.
When is the best time to travel to Bali?
You can expect warm, tropical weather year-round in Bali. The rainy season typically runs from October to April, bringing short, occasional showers with the dry season being May to September. We carefully plan our trips to ensure you have the best possible experience, whatever the season.
Where does the trip start and end?
Your adventure begins and ends just a short drive from Denpasar Airport (DPS) - perfect for easy arrivals and onward travel.
Do I need a Visa to enter Bali?
Yes, UK citizens need a visa to enter Bali ( if you hold another passport please check the government guidelines for your nationality). You can either get a Visa on Arrival when you land or apply for an e-Visa before you depart, it is a super easy process. Both options cost around £25 and are valid for 30 days.
How do we travel around Bali?
You’ll get around using a mix of private transfers and boats. Bali is a relatively small island, so travel days are usually short and scenic.
Which airport do I fly into?
You’ll fly into Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar - Bali’s only airport.
What is the currency in Bali?
The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). ATMs are widely available, and most larger establishments accept cards.
Can anyone climb Mount Batur?
Absolutely! Mount Batur is suitable for anyone with a moderate fitness level. The sunrise trek takes around 2–3 hours, offering breathtaking views at the summit. It’s mildly challenging but completely worth it and our experienced local guide will be there to support you every step of the way.
What is the food like?
Bali’s food scene is amazing! Expect a delicious mix of authentic Indonesian dishes, local Balinese specialties, and international favorites. Try classics like: Nasi Goreng: Indonesian fried rice topped with a fried egg Mie Goreng: fried noodles packed with flavor There are also plenty of Western options and familiar fast-food spots, so there’s something for everyone.
Is there a dress code?
There’s no strict dress code, but when visiting temples or cultural sites, modest clothing is required - that means covering shoulders and knees. We suggest packing a lightweight long skirt or trousers and a scarf or shawl for temple visits. Otherwise, dress comfortably and check the weather before you go.
