Day
1
Canggu
Bali Touchdown & Welcome Feast
Welcome to the Island of the Gods! After touching down in Bali, you’ll be met and transferred straight to Canggu, a buzzing beach town where surf culture meets smoothie bowls, cafés, and sunsets for days. Once you’ve checked in, take some time to freshen up, shake off the travel haze, or dip your toes in the pool. Later, we’ll gather for an induction session to walk you through the adventure ahead (trust us, it’s a good one). Tonight, we kick things off properly with a group dinner. Meet your fellow travellers and toast to the journey ahead. Bali magic officially begins now.

Surf’s Up in Canggu
Today’s all about waves and wins. We’ll head to one of Bali’s best surf beaches where your lesson starts with a beach briefing before paddling out with our expert instructors. First-timer or future pro, you’ll be guided every step of the way, and yes, you’ll absolutely look cool holding a surfboard for photos. Get that Insta dump in the making. The rest of the day is yours. Chill at the beach, café-hop around Canggu, or just do nothing at all. Your guide is always nearby if you want tips or bookings.

Kintamani
Rice Terraces, Jungle Pools & Mountain Air
After breakfast, we leave the coast behind and head inland toward Kintamani. First stop: the iconic Tegallalang Rice Terraces, where emerald-green layers stretch as far as the eye can see. Camera at the ready… This is Bali at its finest. Next up is Cretya Pool Bar, a jungle-side hotspot with tiered infinity pools overlooking the rice fields. Swim, sip, or simply soak in the view. Here you can have a go on the infamous Bali swing! Before reaching Kintamani, we’ll stop at a local coffee plantation for a taste of Bali’s famous brews and a peek into traditional coffee-making. If you’re a coffee lover, you need to try EVERY flavour they have! By late afternoon, arrive in Kintamani to cool mountain air and dramatic volcanic scenery.

Mount Batur Sunrise Trek & Ubud Bound
It’s an early start, but this is one of Bali’s most unforgettable experiences. We’ll trek up Mount Batur under a starlit sky, reaching the summit just in time for sunrise. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience that will forever be a core memory. As the sun lights up Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains, enjoy a light breakfast cooked using volcanic steam (yes, really). Take in the views, explore the crater, and snap some truly epic photos. After descending, we make our way to Ubud, Bali’s cultural and spiritual heart, where the rest of the day is all about rest and recovery after your adventure.

Ubud
Monkey Mischief & Waterfall Wandering
After breakfast, we head to the famous Ubud Monkey Forest, home to hundreds of cheeky macaques. Wander through ancient temple ruins, lush jungle paths, and keep a close eye on your belongings… These guys are curious. Next, we chase waterfalls. Visit Kanto Lampo Waterfall, where cascading water tumbles over rock formations, perfect for photos and a refreshing dip. If time allows, we’ll also stop at the serene Tibumana Waterfall, tucked away in the jungle. FYI, you might get wet!

Gili T
Ferry to Paradise & Horse Sanctuary
Rise early and head to the harbour for a fast boat ride to Gili Trawangan, a car-free island paradise where life slows right down. Upon arrival, luggage is transferred by traditional horse-drawn carriage, keeping the island clean and vehicle-free. Also, don’t worry, these horses are regulated & taken care of! Later, we cycle to a horse sanctuary, a safe haven for rescued and retired horses. This is a hands-on, heart-warming experience where you’ll help with grooming, feeding, beach walks, and learning each horse’s story. Trust us when you say, you’ll connect to these horses & won’t want to leave! It’s meaningful, eye-opening, and one of those moments that sticks with you long after the trip ends.

Weather

Bali’s got that endless summer feel all year round. From April to October, it’s dry season, think blue skies, epic sunsets, and perfect beach vibes with temps around 27–32°C. It’s the ideal time to hit the waves, chase waterfalls, and explore rice terraces. November to March brings the wet season, but don’t stress, it’s mostly short tropical downpours that freshen things up and keep the island green. It’s still warm (26–31°C), way less crowded, and a vibe if you’re into laid-back travel and lush jungle adventures. Rain or shine, Bali’s always a good idea.

Getting There

Starts

Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) We recommend arriving between 9am – 5pm on day 1 so you can meet your local guide in the arrivals hall. They will be wearing Camp Bali t-shirts and will be holding a sign (You can’t miss them!). If you can, we think arriving earlier rather than later is better to allow for some down time at the hotel before the orientation and evening activities. If you do not arrive in the selected window, you will be responsible for making your own way to the accommodation. Your local guide will be able to advise on this in the group chat. The evening orientation is usually around 7/8pm so we recommend you don’t land too late. The journey from the airport can take a while in Bali’s traffic! If you are planning to arrive a day earlier and want to stay near the airport in a hotel at your own cost just let us know and you can come back to the airport for the pickup window or meet us at the hotel.

Ends

Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) On the last day of Camp we recommend a flight after midday, we have a final night out in Bali on the last day so give yourself time to recover and make sure you have time for any onward travel arrangements.

FAQ's
Money
The local currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). ATMs are widely available in towns and tourist areas, and most shops, restaurants, and hotels accept cards, though smaller markets and rural areas often prefer cash. It’s a good idea to carry a mix of cash and cards to cover meals, drinks, souvenirs, and optional activities. For convenience and to avoid high foreign exchange fees, many travellers use a travel card such as Wise or Revolut. This allows you to pay in local currency with minimal charges, and you can also withdraw cash from ATMs if needed.
Best Time to Travel
Bali enjoys warm tropical weather all year round, making it a great destination no matter when you visit. The dry season runs from April to September, offering plenty of sunshine, while the wet season from October to March brings short, refreshing tropical showers that rarely last all day. Even during the wet season, you can expect warm temperatures and plenty of opportunities to explore beaches, rice terraces, and temples. No matter when you travel, our tours are designed to make the most of the local weather, so you’ll always enjoy a mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
Can anyone climb Mount Batur?
Absolutely! Mount Batur is suitable for anyone with a moderate fitness level. The sunrise trek takes around 2–3 hours, offering breathtaking views at the summit. It’s mildly challenging but completely worth it and our experienced local guide will be there to support you every step of the way.
Food
Bali’s food scene is amazing! Expect a delicious mix of authentic Indonesian dishes, local Balinese specialties, and international favorites. Try classics like: Nasi Goreng: Indonesian fried rice topped with a fried egg Mie Goreng: fried noodles packed with flavor Bali offers an amazing mix of traditional Indonesian cuisine and international options, so you’ll have plenty to try during your trip. Expect local favourites such as Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Mie Goreng (fried noodles), and fresh tropical fruits. Many meals are included on your itinerary, but there will also be opportunities to explore local cafés, warungs, and restaurants on your own. Vegetarian, vegan, and milder options are widely available, so dietary preferences are easy to cater for. For a full guide to which meals are included on your tour, check the day-by-day itinerary on your tour page.
