Summer Camp Thailand Reviews

Hi! Here’s my contribution to the Summer Camp Thailand Reviews – enjoy!

During this summer, I travelled to Camp Thailand – I decided to apply for Camp Phuket; it was a truly memorable experience and I couldn’t recommend the program enough! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Camp Phuket and it was certainly time well spent: I got to bath elephants, go quad-biking, visit temples and even learn a little bit of Thai! I also tried all of the tasty Thai food, which was right up my street – make sure you try Pad Thai, this was my personal favourite!

After a couple nights experiencing the hustle and bustle in Bangkok, we headed out to Camp! Everyone was so excited and looking forward to settling into our new little Thai home for the next couple weeks.

Visiting Koh Phi Phi was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my time at Camp Thailand. We experienced some unbelievable views and visited awesome islands – make sure you pack a camera or charge your phone before you head out, the picture opportunities are endless!

Throughout my time at Camp, I got involved with a range of teaching. I’m coincidentally training to be a teacher now, so it gave me the perfect experience I needed before embarking on my PGCE. When I started my PGCE I had an advantage in comparison to the other teachers who had never taught before; even though it was a completely different teaching environment, you learn a variety of relevant skills. For example, my classroom management methods improved and I learned how to maintain the attention of the children during a lesson, whilst teaching different abilities.

I also enjoyed doing the Cambodia Tour whilst at Camp Thailand. Cambodia is a beautiful and wonderful country, with some of the friendliest people I have met, especially a local lady called Nana!

During the trip to Cambodia, we visited Angkor Wat at sunrise – it was clear to see why it was named as one of the 7 wonders of the world! We also enjoyed a tuk-tuk tour and experienced countless nights out on Pub Street. All in all, it was a great weekend spent with great people!

Hope you enjoyed my post!

Thanks xx
